Fastness pedigree connection to Kentucky Derby winner Street Sense

Fastness broodmare sire and English and Irish champion TROY is also the broodmare sire of STREET CRY (5 million plus earner), the sire of KY Derby winner Street Sense

The sire of the 2nd dam of Street Cry, Waterway, is RIVERMAN, the grandsire of Fastness. 

When Street Cry was bred to Northern Dancer line mare Bedazzle by Dixieland Band, the result was STREET SENSE. 

When Fastness was bred to Northern Dancer line mare Words of Royalty by Regal Classic, the result was millionaire G2 SW and 3yo Canadian champion LE CINQUIEME ESSAI.

To quote Blood-Horse, May 12, p. 2743: "Like many Kentucky Derby winners, Street Sense is blessed with stamina from a variety of sources, perhaps none more so than from Troy and Ribot. Troy...was one of the top European horses of the 1970s. As a 3-year-old in 1979, he captured the Epsom Derby, Irish Sweeps Derby, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes, and Benson and Hedges Gold Cup, all group I, before running third in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (Fr-I)."

By the way, Street Cry's graded or group winners have won on dirt, turf or Polytrack -- very similar to the stakes winners by Fastness. Fastness babies will be awesome on Polytrack.
